AMAZING STORY. I've been reading on this story for quite a while, and you've had me since the beginning. Quest for the Legends is a role model for my own Pokémon story, and I can only hope it will come out anywhere near as good as this one. Kudos to TQFTL!

Okay! \o/ As I've said before, I put TQftL on my DS, and have been editing this personal copy with small, mostly formatting, edits. For non-formatting, larger changes, I marked with an asterisk to comment on the site later - like now! You can see each of what I changed at http://pastebin.com/m2b1a27b1 , and I'll just mark the most commenty comments here, and you can respond to both! :D
Well, this being the shortest chapter, there's not too much to say. There's some parts that could be rewritten for conciseness: "so that it seemed almost like" and "which was that they were" specifically. I also note the recurring combination of 'feeling' adjectives - "sadly", "fearfully", "disbelieving" - and nouns that wouldn't usually get them. Personification is all well and good, and I could see it with the first example of the town, I suppose, but… yeah.
One question: if a few of the Legendaries were still alive, whole, and breathing, why didn't Mew save them? Why create a new one… let me look up 25 again… yeah, if he wanted to "save everything that could be saved", it seems like he could have started with those easier ones - perhaps create Chaletwo along with that, but not solely.

Sorry if I'm being an idiot (again), but didn't Gyarados use Dragon Beam four times in a row, or was he knocked out before he used it the fourth time?Reply: Yes, he was knocked out before he used it the fourth time. Politoed hit him with an Ice Beam that made him lose his concentration, and then with another one before he'd managed to charge it up again.

Too bad Mark lost, but having main characters that always win is one of my pet peeves. :P
By the way, was Aaron the kid at the festival who asked for the Ditto? Mark thought he looked familiar, and he said that Ditto had been his starter Pokemon.Reply: Yes, Aaron was the guy at the Festival who got the Ditto. It's a bit of an easter egg for observant readers.

I love your fanfic Dragonfree, it is without a doubt the best I have ever read. Your battle scenes are amazing. I just have one question, how often do you post new chapters? I stayed up every night for the last four nights, just to find out what happens next. I can't wait for the next Chapter.Reply: How long it takes me to write a chapter varies immensely; I have written a chapter in two days, and I have taken six months to get one done. Normally I believe it's something between one and two months, though.

I love your battle seaquences! The ones I write myself are a bit boring at the moment…
I think in an earlier chapter Letaligon said that once she had evolved she wanted to be relesed so she could challenge her father. Can't wait to find out if she does or not!!!Reply: She did, but in chapter 41 she had an agreement with Mark that if she went with them to the League, she would stick with him until it was over and then they would return to Ruxido to release her.

Wow- your battle scenes are amazing! I very much liked this chapter, especially Letal's evolution! I have a dumb question, however- is Earth Power a real move, or one made up for the fic?Reply: Earth Power is a real move introduced in Diamond and Pearl. It is basically a Ground-type version of Psychic, and Lunatone does learn it (it's a Platinum move tutor move).

Please forgive me if you think this is a dumb question but,
what is the difference between a pokemon coming in or out of the ball with white light or red light? I noticed you use both and I don't know if there's a difference or not.Reply: Pokémon glow white when they come out of the ball but red when absorbed back into the ball. As it happens I did not notice this until quite late, so all the earlier chapters show the Pokémon both coming out and going back in via red light, but in the later chapters I think I've been getting it right. If you spotted a Pokémon appearing in red light in this chapter somewhere, by all means tell me so I can fix it.

“Chaletwo, you know where you put him,” Mark said in exasperation. “Where do we go?”
I was randomly skimming this chapter for no apparent reason and this caught my eye. Wouldn't this indicate to May that Chaletwo was the one who created Polaryu, which is something Mark seems to have an unspoken agreement with Chaletwo not to let her know?
While I'm at it, I'll just mention that I went and read the bit where they talk about the dragons in Chapter 31 just to make sure my point wasn't somehow dealt with there, and Chaletwo's reaction to May's suggestion that he just Death Stared Thunderyu was freaking adorable. I never quite realised why he acted like that before, but now I know how much he loves those widdle murderous dragons… x3Reply: …let's just say it slipped out but May wasn't paying enough attention to get suspicious. :D; Or maybe she assumed Chaletwo was just the one to seal him away, hence knowing of the locations of the other dragons, but not the one to create them. Or something.
(And yes, Chaletwo can be quite adorable. :3)
