NO!!! Mark lost!? *cries* They must have cheated…Reply: …uh? Mark losing is really nothing new. o_O He is not out of the League yet, if that's what you're thinking, since this is the preliminaries, but yes, he lost, and I am puzzled by the suggestion that an opponent would need to "cheat" to beat him when he's been losing all the time since the beginning of the story. Just because he's the main character doesn't mean he can't lose at the League just as anywhere else.

That would mean Mark had 7 Pokemon.Reply: Technically, he was practicing his flying skills at the beginning of the chapter, when Gyarados was not out, so theoretically Mark could have just recalled him by the time they made the campfire, but I don't think I was actually thinking it that far at the time I wrote that.

WOW, that has to be my new favorite battle. Superbly thought out, and I completley forget about Glalie at the end x.x I think I found a small mistake though. "Weakened and paralyzed and barely conscious Glalie had won Aaron White the battle."
Shouldn't there be a comma after conscious?

Hmm, I guess I never really thought about it like that. but in a way it looked like suicune had this happen intentionally like gyarados was supposed to do that. but anyways
It seems like polaryu was using sheer cold is that correct. but whats weird is that he was hitting with it every time even though that move has a really low hit rate.Reply: Yes, Polaryu was using Sheer Cold. And it hit so much because one-hit KO moves have a higher accuracy if the user is higher-leveled than the opponent - the accuracy of 30% people usually think of is for when both Pokémon are the same level, but if the user is, say, ten levels higher, then it will be 40%. The legendaries are all considered to be very high-leveled compared to the kids' Pokémon, making it a lot more accurate than it would normally be.

This chapter made me think "what would Marks parents reaction be if they saw him in the pokemon league on TV?!" hm that is an interesting thought. I think that Mark is really weird with his opinion of gyarados. Any normal person would like a pokemon like that, especially if it could speak english! I also wonder what Chaletwo thinks of Mewtwo squared. his fate seems interesting as well…Reply: …any normal person would like a Pokémon that murdered a being you consider pretty much a deity, has creepy powers it shouldn't have and speaks a language it shouldn't speak? I don't think so.
