After I read this I thought to myself, "This isn't right, love makes Dragonfree barf…" Yes, I litterally thought that.

OOH…scintillating. i have to say, i have never seen a tournament described in as much detail as this one. it describes each battle in sufficient detail to paint a vivid picture, but also doesn't stretch it out and make it boring. again, nice twist with the sibling rivalry between Scyther and Charizard.

Again, great work. Nice twist regarding the Scorplack / Mitch thing

I've read the section on your coincidences (razor claw etc…) and wondered… is it just me that scorplack not only has the same first syllable, but looks similar too? and also the same typing for each evolution (like the Dex ambiguity)? Or…was Scorplack thought up after the DP dex?

Reply: Scorplack is the very first non-hybrid fake Pokémon I ever created, so no, it isn't thought up after the D/P dex; in fact, I'm pretty sure it was before R/S came out. But really, it isn't that much of a fantastic coincidence that scorpion Pokémon have a name beginning with some variation on "Scor", and the only real similarities between Skorupi/Drapion and Scorplack are simply what both of them take from real scorpions, so I wouldn't exactly call it a remarkable similarity. And Bug/Poison and Dark/Poison are pretty much the most obvious types for scorpion Pokémon to be (Bug because they're arachnids, Poison because they're venomous, and Dark because they're nocturnal and have a sinister reputation).

Absolutely epic. great detail about the Scorplack invasion, no improvements at all.

Oh, one question: does the three of Charizard (from charmeleon (seen the art)), Butterfree and Scyther end up being released and meet up with the Mew Hunter's Fangcat? or are the three mascots the inspiration for the story itself? just wondering…

i know ill probably get told "read it for yourself", but…curiosity for the sake of curiosity.

P.S/ im sorry about double posts - its a security setting which posts anything with a script relating to an e-mail adress gets sent twice (in case the first file gets lost - dont ask) anyway, ive turned it off for my particular e-mail , so no double posts!

Reply: The Charizard, Butterfree and Scyther in this story have nothing to do with the site mascots; it just happens that they're my favorite Pokémon and therefore when I was twelve I wanted to stick them everywhere. The Mew Hunter's Fangcat, likewise, is completely unrelated to the random Fangcat I stuck into the splash page backstory. Don't think there is any relation between the two.

Once again, great twist regarding the feudal feelings between Charmeleon and Scyther, and im curious to find out how the story goes (regarding treachery / death / fighting etc.)

As per usual, my only improvement would be between the sentences below:

"Scyther suddenly leapt at him, his scythes raised… …Suddenly, he had no face and was throwing a black and red Pokéball at Mew"

I think that the concept of Mark having nightmarks too abrupt and over too quickly. Again, perhaps you could build suspense up before Mark realises it was just a dream, just to bulk it out a bit.

Again, just a suggestion

Commenting again, excellent twist, regarding the Mew Hunter. I must admit…it is rather odd to witness death in Pokemon, simply because…you just don't really think about them when they get hit by attacks (it's true, i always wondered whether Guillotine cut a pokemon in half, but they could be healed…).

Great chapter, and one of the highlights so far is the last paragraph (regarding Mark's Team). Two words. E-PIC.

Excellent story do far, i'd just like to say. excellent plot, the same style of names Mr. Tajiri relentlessly uses, gripping, and i love how the whole charmander plot ties in with Rick's bro / May etc.

However, and i am aware the ILCOE version was your less-evolved style of writing, perhaps you could update Chapters 7 and 8. Personally, i felt that the battles were a bit vague and abrupt, so perhaps (if you take note of this) you could 'fill it out', if you know what i mean. i don't necessarily mean with new attacks (i gather that Mark discovering new moves may be part of the plot), but perhaps bringing it to the standard of the Moltres battle, and maybe add some more description (emphasizing the monotony and boredom of the whole ordeal). after all, it is just a suggestion.

Nevertheless, a great script so far, and if this is what you achieved when you were 14 years old, i can't wait to post on the style of writing to come !!

Great work, great website, Neokopa

Actually, I think this is very good.
I would prefer it if it were the real chapter 53.

Reply: Then you are wrong, sorry. It is atrociously, objectively bad in every possible way. I should know; I wrote it that way.

Ha! Once again, I influenced Butterfree to write something along the lines of: 'There is no need to tell me'.

“It’s a she?” Mark asked, a bit surprised; the creature’s aggressiveness had made him deduce it was male, which on second thought had been rather stupid, particularly considering who was sitting in front of him. LOL that part is soooo funny xD
