Chapter: Chapter 37: Carl
The part about reading that Dragonair is powerful and being disappointed actually directly contradicts a bit in an early chapter, which stated that trainers often expect to catch a psuedo legendary and then be strong, but that Dratini and Dragonair aren't actually strong at all, and that it actually takes a trainer who's already very good to bring them to their full potential and evolve into Dragonite. So having read/heard that (I forget which) should have set Mark's expectations.

Gyro ball isn't a physical move and by shaking their heads do you mean nodding? Because if they shook their heads that would mean they said no. Great story I really like it.Reply: Yes, Gyro Ball is a physical move, and every time characters shake their heads in this chapter, they're definitely supposed to be shaking their heads. You may be thinking of where Alan's Pokémon shake their heads, but they're responding to "Unless they have any objections?", so by shaking their heads they indicate that no, they don't have any objections.

This episode vaguely reminds me of the relationship between Ash's Charizard and Liza's Charizard
(The Liza in the Charific Valley not the gym leader)

Þetta var langur kafli, og mjög langir bardagar. En mér finnst eitt það sterkasta í þessari sögu vera umhverfislýsingar. Hver borg er svo sérstök, og bara snilldarhugmyndir bakvið lýsingarnar.

Or Mark's Charizard. This is just as chaotic as it's supposed to be…Reply: As a rule, if there are multiple Charizard in the scene, just "Charizard" used as a name (i.e. you could replace it with "James") is always Mark's Charizard. Any other Charizard would be referred to as "the other Charizard", "the female Charizard", "Carl's Charizard", etc. So that particular instance was referring to Mark's Charizard.

"Charizard fired the Flamethrower anyway, since he’d bothered to prepare for it. As the Vaporeon materialized out of the Pokéball, she was caught in the middle of a column of white-hot flame."
Wasn't Carl's Charizard female earlier in this chapter?

"Alan screamed, “Mist, Whirlpool!”"
Screamed seems… somewhat over-the-top, did you perhaps mean shouted?
Also, will we ever get to see Vicky's 'Standard Techniques'?
