06/17/2019: Commentary: chapter 60
Chapter 60: The Swarm (commentary)In this chapter, basically an honorary Scyther spinoff, Razor reunites with Stormblade, learns what happened in The Fall of a Leader, talks to Nightmare again, they talk past each other as she accidentally overturns his entire worldview, and Razor finally manages to start to let go of his self-loathing and finds a real reason to live.

Yes! I've been looking forward to this one. The similarities between Razor's struggles and religious indoctrination/deconversion have always landed for me, and I've always loved it. This chapter is so satisfying, a real emotional conclusion to all of the Scyther side story stuff, which I always loved, even if looking back they weren't all that perfect. Razor is honestly how I ended up realizing Scyther is my favorite Pokemon. And Nightmare being a badass is also wonderful. She's one of the most competent and well-adjusted characters in the whole fic, really.
